3-way blending ARV valves are usually used when the required temperature is obtained by mixing in an appropriate proportion hot water from the boiler with cold return water. These products can also be used as diverting or switching valves when it is required to divide the water stream from the boiler into two circuits, e.g. for a heating system and a domestic hot water tank. The new 3-way valves ARV are even better in this application due to the improved internal construction. The improved design allows achieving a much smaller internal leakage, while maintaining the low required torque.
4-way valves are used with solid fuel boilers as mixing valves with simultaneous increase of the boiler return temperature. They can also be successfully used as regulating fittings in heating installations with cast iron boilers with oil or gas planes.
The new ARV rotary mixing valves with internal thread are made of brass. The connections are in the form of an octagon, which definitely simplifies installation with a hydraulic wrench. The valves are equipped with knobs for manual adjustment and angle of rotation limiters to facilitate the appropriate setting. The readable scale located on the knob cover enables precise reading of the valve opening degree. On one side there is a "0 to 10" scale, and on the other side there is a "10 to 0" scale. This allows the valve to work in various mounting positions. The thickened section of the circumference of the knob reflects the position of the valve inside the valve and it is made of non-slip material. To connect new ARV valves with new ARM actuators, elements made of durable plastic are located under the knob.
