Pipe repair clamps types

Pipe repair clamps are easy tools to fix leaking pipe. Pipe leak repair can be hard, but not with pipe repair clamp which can be used for almost any, even hard to access pipe. Repair clamps are simple to use and effective on most sized pipes of most sizes and types. Clamps are made from strong material (steel or brass) on outside and flexible rubber pad inside.

Compatible with a range of pipe diameters, our clamps offer versatility for various applications. Our range of leak repair clamps is rigorously tested to ensure superior quality and performance. Trust our clamps to provide a reliable, lasting solution for all your pipe leak repair needs.

We offer three different types of repair clamps which includes clamps designed to repair copper pipes.  We got these in 15, 18, 22 and 28mm metric sizes, so these are matching standard copper pipe sizing. The other type are steel pipe repair clamps and saddle pipe clamps with extra side fitting which will help to take away leaking water from the piping system. Alternatively the last mentioned pipe clamp type can be used to apply extra pipe connection to existing application without need to install extra inline tee fitting.

How to use pipe repair clamps?

Applying pipe repair clamps is pretty straight forward. Please make extra precaution by cleaning the leaking pipe from debris or any other obstacles which can get in the way for clamp to be fully seating over the pipe body.

To fix pipe leak, the rubber part of the clamp needs to be placed over the place requiring repair and then strong part needs to be tighten over the rubber. Once repair clamp sits properly on its position, it will seal the leaked area. The solution of correctly fitted pipe repair clamps may last for years (assuming that no further pipe damage is expected). However we strongly recommend to apply proper pipe leak fix as soon as it is possible.

Pipe Repair Clamp Installation

Apply rubber gasket over the pipe first, then apply upper and lower body around the gasket. Tighten with all 4 screws.

How to choose correct repair clamps size?

Choosing correct repair clamp size for copper piping system is straight forward as clamps sizes are directly matching the copper pipe size which is metric sizing. So if you aim to repair 15mm copper pipe, the you would need to simply choose 15mm leak repair clamp.

However when it comes to choose size for repair stell or lead pipe then you would need to follow the below chart to pick correct one. Most of pipe types are provided in imperial sizing standard.

Pipe Repair Clamps Size ChartThe easiest way to pick correct size would be to measure the leaking pipe external diameter and compare the measurement to match it with column no 4 on the size chart. Then to pick correct clamp model the size from column no 2 needs to be taken.

Frequently Asked Questions

Whilst the pipe leak fix made by repair clamp can last for few years, it is advised to not use pipe clamps as permanent leak fix solution. These can be treated as long term fix but it should be always considered to replace leaking pipe within maximum 4-5 years after fix is applied. This is mainly caused by the fact that the hole which is causing pipe leak can corrode and increase in size over a period of time.

These are cheap leak repair solution in compare to replacing the pipe. Clamps are also easy to install so there's no need to hire specialist and spend more money for their work. Clamps can be also fitted without emptying piping system so your water/heating system can carry on supplying the water/heating to your household.
