Dripping tap can be repaired by changing a tap washer. This non expensive fix can let you avoid expense of changing the whole leaking tap. Not all taps work with tap washers. Many modern kitchen and bathroom taps use a ceramic cartridge instead of a washer.
The easiest way to find is is to check whether your tap is quarter/half turn or full rotations type. Taps which need a half or quarter turn to switch on and off will have a ceramic cartridge. Taps that need to be turned a full rotation or more will have a tap washer. Taps can be equipped with several different sizes of tap washers.
