Today it was installed with meshing to exclude birds from descending the chimney (about two/annum without mesh). I would have preferred a more robust construction but the die is cast.

Just what the doctor ordered

Am insulating my garage wall as it is attached to the entrance hall which is cold. The outside tap is in the garage and will be behind the insulation. Local plumbers merchants couldn’t help with a suitable part so managed to source a 50mm extender from here which was delivered promptly. Very good product and excellent service.
