10 to 15mm adaptor fitted but leaked whatever I did.

I have a Spanish WC with a 10mm inlet but the plumber did not fit an isolator. In the UK I couldn't get a 10mm isolator valve with the right male and female connections. So I thought I would try to use a 15mm isolator valve with adapters but needed a right angle off the toilet due to the available space. Though this right angle adaptor fitted due to the lack of an internal ledge to take a washer however much PTFE tape I used it leaked seriously. Eventually I had to get a 3/8" isolator tap from France which did achieve the aim.
