With the gardena rain sensor electronic, natural rainfall is considered with the automatic irrigation. Irrigation is not started if it is raining, or it stops if rain begins during irrigation. The optical-electronic operation principle allows a fast reaction to the start of rainfall – this saves tap- or cistern water. The rain sensor can be stuck with the spike into the bed beside the plants, or placed on a solid surface. The gardena rain sensor electronic is supplied with a 5 m connecting cable and plug. For operation, one 9 v alkaline battery is required (not included). This ensures reliable measurement results for approx. One year. Note: the following gardena products can be connected: gardena water computers c 1060 solar plus, c 1060 plus, c 1030 plus (art. No. 1866-20, 1864-20, 1862-20), gardena water timers t 1030 plus, t 1030 duo plus, t 1030 card (art. No. 1860-20, 1870-20, 1830-20), irrigation control systems 4040 modular, 4030 and 6030 (art. No. 1276-20, 1283-20, 1284-20), controller (art. No. 1250-20) and flower box watering (art. No. 1407-20)
Water-saving irrigation
The gardena rain sensor electronic stops irrigation at the start of rainfall and thereby helps to save tap- or cistern water.
Flexible placement
The rain sensor can either be stuck into the bed beside the plants using the spike, or it can be placed on a solid surface – depending on your individual requirement.
Fast reaction with rain
Through the optical-electronic operation principle, irrigation is quickly stopped at the onset of rainfall. Natural rainfall is thereby considered in the irrigation control system.
Easy to use
The five-metre-long connecting cable allows flexible connection of the rain sensor.
