Tap tails

I bought this item as the tap I bought didn’t have tap tails long enough for what I wanted, they arrived promptly and looked the part but when I tried to screw them into the tap they would screw in about one turn and then stopped, I didn’t want to twist them or seize them into the tap so I removed them. I measured them and checked the thread pitch and they seemed ok so really didn’t know what was going on. So sadly I’ve had to return them.
