Description
Self-cutting waste pipe kit for washing machine or dishwasher drain direct connection. Suitable for 1 1/4" (32mm) and 1 1/2" (40mm) waste pipe. This kit can be installed directly on the existing waste pipe without any tools required (self cutting tool is included). Supplied with non return valve and fitting instructions.
DRAIN AWAY KIT INSTALLATION: Fit the kit on the waste pipe close to your appliance. 1. Unscrew the elbow (c) from the kit assembly. 2. Position the 2 plastic saddles over 1 1/2" (40mm) waste pipe. For 1 1/4" (32mm) pipe leave the 2 spacers in place. Remove one spacer if saddle is too tight. Ensure 'O' ring is snug in its recess. Tighten the 4 screws evenly. 3. Screw the cutter into the fitted kit until a hole is cut through the pipe. 4. Screw the elbow back into the kit, then the trap valve and lastly the spigot (The stepped universal spigot is supplied). Ensure arrow on trap valve is vertically downwards. 5. Caution: Lock nut must be HAND tightened. 6. Push drain hose onto spigot and secure with clip. 7. Clean trap valve periodically. HELPFUL HINT: To assist cutting pipe, apply a little washing-up liquid to cutter tip.
Am insulating my garage wall as it is attached to the entrance hall which is cold. The outside tap is in the garage and will be behind the insulation. Local plumbers merchants couldn’t help with a suitable part so managed to source a 50mm extender from here which was delivered promptly. Very good product and excellent service. Will use them again if needed and will recommend them.
